About Lodat
Lodat is the operator company behind VenueOS, Keptable and CoreShift. One engineering bench. Three products. One thesis.
How we got here
The first version of VenueOS was built because the software we were paying for couldn't actually run a real venue. Bookings, ordering, payments and the kitchen all lived in different systems and refused to talk to each other. Sunday-night spreadsheets. Surprise invoices. The usual.
The same friction shows up in every owner-operated business. Money flowing through five tools, none of which reconcile. Customer information scattered across half a dozen apps. People burning weekends on stuff the software should handle. Keptable came out of that frustration on the revenue side; CoreShift on the personal-life side.
If we've built the engineering bench to ship our own SaaS to production, why are local owner-operators down the road still being stitched up by IT contracts they don't understand? So we offered the same bench out as a private IT service. Same engineering, same posture, smaller scope. Fixed prices, written quotes, one named human on the line.
Operating model
Every product Lodat ships is one we needed ourselves. The first version is tested against real operating reality before it goes to anyone else.
Three products on one stack, one team, one set of decisions. We can ship fast and support properly because nobody is split across vendors.
Fixed prices for fixed scope, written quotes, transparent monthly bills. If a job isn't right for us, we say so on the call and point at someone better placed.
Where we work
On-site work concentrates on Mansfield, Nottingham, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Chesterfield and Sheffield outskirts. Remote work goes UK-wide.
